The ICT Spring conference is always a highlight for the Luxembourg tech scene. The quality of the speakers makes it a reference event every year. In partnership with organisers Farvest, we highlight some of the inspiring speakers not to be missed. Their speeches offer a unique opportunity for the public to get their autographs! Let’s make them famous. Make them unique. We caught up with Nadia Manzari, Partner at Schiltz & Schiltz.

What is your background and what are your achievements?

Before joining the law firm Schiltz & Schiltz, I was the Head of the Innovation, Payments, Markets Infrastructures and Governance Department at the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), where I started my career in 2001 in the banking department.

In finance for more than 20 amazing years, I had the opportunity to work on key    regulations and with the major actors of the financial and tech sector. I am proud to realise today, that I contributed and assisted to the development of the FinTech ecosystem in Luxembourg.

What are your favourite topics and your business expertise?

My favourite topics are also my business expertise and do cover financial regulation, banking, payments, digital finance/Fintech, AML/KYC and governance.

What brings you to the ICT Spring scene? What are you going to talk about?

ICT Spring is one of the biggest global tech conferences in Europe, where digital, tech and finance meet. I consider it a place where I get the chance to deepen my knowledge and to meet professionals from all over the world. It is the place where I get the opportunity to discover the latest innovations and it is also at ICT Spring where you discover what is next to come.

This year I am having a Fireside chat with a very famous artist in Luxembourg, Sumo and together we will have a look inside the booming NFT art market.

What is your vision for the tech scene in the next 12 months? Who and what should we follow in particular (topics, company, entrepreneur…)?

Due to the recent regulatory developments around distributed ledgers and crypto-assets, only naming the DLT pilot regime or the MICA proposal, new business opportunities will be created for new market entrants as well as for existing actors in the next 12 to 24 months.
