Everyone knows the names of successful CEOs, but what about CTOs? By hosting the Tech Talent of the Year award, nexten.io wants to give the country’s best and most innovative CTO’s their share of credit. This year’s 3rd edition will be presented on 8 December at the Gudde Wëllen. Nominations are open until 23 November, community voting starts the day after.

Not all talent is recognised equally in the startup world. While managing a startup is no doubt a vital task, running the tech side of things is just as important.
However, the misconceptions of CTOs as computer geeks have made them the less likely recipient of awards. nexten.io’s Tech Talent of the Year award wants to change this narrative.
“We want to create a real tech community in Luxembourg. Helping IT people to find a better job is one thing, but putting business apart, it’s important for us to shine a spotlight on these people who are helping companies create disruptive innovations,” says Emilie Bertoni, Head of Marcom.
This award ceremony is especially fitting in Luxembourg where CTOs arguably play a more important roles than in many other ecosystems.
Cast Your Votes
Whereas last year’s edition focused on innovative ideas contributing towards solving the health crisis, this year’s edition is shifting its focus.
“This year we are going to do things differently! We really want to bring back the physical events of the Luxembourg tech scene!” says Emilie.
Not only celebrating leadership, nexten.io’s Tech Talent of the Year award also wants to highlight the CTOs entire team. Nominations are open until 23 November and both companies and CTOs can nominate someone – even themselves.
After the nominations close, anyone can cast their vote. The top five nominees will then present their tech project in front of a jury and audience members on 8 December at the Gudde Wëllen.
