AI startup nuwacom has raised €3.2 million in seed funding, led by Dutch VC firm Newion and select angel investors, to scale its secure, AI-first enterprise workspace.

Already in use by major clients like Lufthansa, Vodafone, and Union Investment, the platform helps teams integrate AI agents into daily workflows while maintaining strict compliance and data security.

After Talkwalker’s acquisition by Hootsuite in 2024, Christophe Folschette joined nuwacom as co-founder and CEO, citing the company’s potential to lead in privacy-first, generative AI. He’s now driving nuwacom’s European expansion, including a 15-person hub in Luxembourg by late 2025, focused on regulated industries like finance and government.

Folschette shares more details about nuwacom’s plans, vision, and what makes the platform stand out:

What’s your long-term vision for secure human-AI collaboration in enterprises?

Nuwacom envisions a future where humans and AI agents work together seamlessly in a shared, intelligent workspace. The goal is to unlock internal knowledge, let teams build and use AI without IT dependency, and ensure AI solutions are context-aware, policy-compliant, and proactive. For example, instead of using multiple disconnected tools for campaign planning, marketing teams can now brainstorm, draft, and launch—all within one AI-powered workspace, with no copy-paste chaos.

What will the €3.2M funding enable you to achieve in the next 12 months?

The seed funding will drive growth across three key areas. First, nuwacom plans to grow its team to around 50 employees by year-end, with strategic hires in engineering, sales, and marketing. Second, it will fuel a targeted go-to-market rollout in key European markets. The focus will be on enterprise sectors with high trust and compliance needs, ensuring the platform reaches the organizations that need secure AI solutions most.

“[…] the market shifts from AI experimentation to true workflow integration.”

Why was now the right time to raise seed funding?

With proven traction from early adopters like Lufthansa and Vodafone, nuwacom has validated its product in real enterprise environments. As the market shifts from AI experimentation to true workflow integration, now is the right moment to scale a platform that’s secure by design and built for collaborative, operational AI use, not just standalone content generation.

How is nuwacom different from other AI tools on the market?

Most AI tools are either chatbots or add-ons to legacy systems. Nuwacom takes a fundamentally different approach: it’s a dedicated AI-first workspace where everything—documents, search, assistants, agents, and workflows—lives in one secure platform. AI agents work directly alongside teams, and the platform is enterprise-grade from day one, with GDPR-level security, system integration, and role-based access. It’s not about sprinkling AI into tasks—it’s about redefining teamwork with AI at the core.
