PropTech Startup Spaceti Won The MIPIM Startup Competition

Spaceti, the Czech startup that provides an integrated suite of data analytics, smart sensors, and mobile user interfaces to optimise the use of office spaces and increase productivity and the wellbeing of people in buildings, was named the world’s top property technology (PropTech) company at the MIPIM Startup Competition in Cannes.

The competition, where the most innovative new real estate and property management companies meet each year, gathered the six best property technology startups from around the world. The 2019 edition held semi final events in Paris (European round), New York (American round), and Hong Kong (Asian round) where the selected startups pitched their ideas and business models.

This year’s expert judging panel included experts from almost every section of the industry: Aaron Block, the co-founder of MetaProp NYC; Liquid Rei founder Dan Hughes; Angelica Krystle Donati, a journalist for Forbes and VC Partner; Union Investment Real Estate’s Joern Stobbe; Andrea Jang from JLL Spark; and Marie Schneegans of Workwell. They evaluated the six finalists on the basis of the innovations in their technologies, the way the solutions solve industry needs, and their potential for global scaling.

“It’s the result of all the sweat equity our team puts into Spaceti products and our focus on our customer satisfaction.”

Spaceti, represented by Chief Business Officer and Co-founder Aakash Ravi beat out Tatami, a modular housing system designed for sustainable international use, which took second place ahead of third-place Target, which produces visual analytics software for the construction industry.

Founded in 2016 in Prague, Czech Republic, Spaceti provides integrated solutions of sensors, data analytics, and mobile user interfaces that enhance the satisfaction, productivity, and wellbeing of people in buildings while improving the bottom line for organisations.

“We are really thankful to our customers, partners, and supporters on the journey to this: our biggest milestone thus far. It’s the result of all the sweat equity our team puts into Spaceti products and our focus on our customer satisfaction. We will now look forward to working with new partners, investors, and resellers to expand our property technology globally,” CEO Max Verteletskyi summed up the meaning of the award for Spaceti.
