As AI becomes part of everyday life, making sense of it shouldn’t be a guessing game. YourConnectivity Box helps people in Luxembourg navigate telecom and digital services with clarity, confidence and the power to ask better questions.
AI isn’t coming. It’s already here. It’s behind the chatbot answering your mobile support request, the feed showing you personalised content, the “smart” offer you just received online and the subscription you didn’t know was so hard to cancel.
While artificial intelligence brings convenience, it also raises questions. Why am I seeing this promotion? Is this customer review real? Can I trust this app with my data? And if an algorithm made this decision, can I do anything about it?
At MyConnectivity, we believe that digital services must be transparent and fair. Everyone should feel empowered to understand and question the systems behind the screen, no matter how complex they are. That belief led us to create YourConnectivity Box: a consumer protection tool designed to demystify telecom and digital services for everyone who lives and works in Luxembourg.
Led by MyConnectivity, this initiative brought together over 15 organisations from across public, private and nonprofit sectors to co-create the toolkit: a unique national collaboration that places us at the forefront of consumer awareness and digital inclusion.
The result is a deck of 40 cards, plus glossary and explanation cards, available in Luxembourgish, French and English. Each card explores a common situation faced by consumers, whether it is understanding a contract, comparing offers, finding support when things go wrong, or making sense of bills, coverage or service options. It is a practical, user-friendly resource designed to help people feel more informed, supported and confident in their digital choices.
AI makes these challenges more dynamic. Scams are evolving faster. Default settings are harder to detect. And decisions made by algorithms are increasingly hidden from view. That’s why our toolkit isn’t just about identifying problems but also about equipping people to ask better questions and make more informed choices.
To support this further, the digital version of the toolkit includes expanded content for every card. It offers additional explanations, tips and resources to help people dig deeper into the topics most relevant to them. Whether you’re looking to understand your rights, protect your data or identify manipulative tactics, the toolkit can be a starting point.
You can explore the digital version online or request a physical deck. Either way, the goal is the same: to support digital inclusion by making complex topics accessible, practical and engaging.
YourConnectivity Box is not a final answer to digital complexity. But it’s a step in the right direction: a tool to make the invisible more visible and give consumers the clarity they need to navigate today’s digital world with greater ease.
