Startups have until 29 April to apply to be part of the Luxembourg startup accelerator hub from telecommunications firm Orange.
The fifth edition of BeLux #OrangeFab programme is aimed at startups developing augmented reality, virtual reality and metaverse solutions in the fields of new shop and retail experience, entertainment, sports technology, cybersecurity and healthcare.
To qualify, startups must have an existing product and customers, and be looking to scale-up. They should have no more than 15 employees.
According to Orange BeLux, the season’s goal is to “propose inventive new experiences” to its end customers in Belgium and Luxembourg. A shortlist of candidates will be invited to pitch their products to a C-Level panel on 1 June 2022. If successful, they will then have from July to December 2022 to launch their project. At the end of the programme, they will join the Orange Fab alumni network, and benefit from long-term collaboration to scale up projects.
In addition to the above, successful candidates receive mentoring and financial support, access to networking and distribution, and they will be part of an accelerator programme present in 22 countries.
Previous Luxembourg winners include EmailTree AI, an AI-based email productivity tool, which was selected for season three of the programme.
