Revolut Launches Joint Accounts, A Shared Bank Account For All Types of Duos

Revolut, the online bank already used by over 28 million people worldwide announced the launch of joint accounts for all clients in the European Economic Area (EEA).

The joint accounts enable users to create an additional account within the Revolut application that will be jointly held by two people, whether partners, family members or friends. This new functionality is part of the new UX 9.0 update, which is available now for iOS and Android and also includes the group version of the Revolut Chat instant messaging tool.

Revolut’s joint accounts are all about flexibility and inclusivity, adapting to the needs of all kinds of people and relationships. To create joint accounts, clients do not need to explain with whom, why or prove that they live together. The joint accounts are also compatible with Revolut <18, making it a tool for family finance but can also be used by all types of duos, whether couples, siblings, roommates or friends.

This new feature is part of Revolut’s efforts to become even more social and inclusive, adapting to the needs of different people, relationships and budgets. Over the years, Revolut has become one of the world’s largest financial communities, with multiple features specifically created to make banking operations between loved ones faster and easier – such as the expense-sharing feature, Revolut Chat, Revolut <18, Group Vaults, and hassle-free P2P payments.
