The Pitch Your Startup competition’s application deadline is days away. What do the participants, finalists and winners of previous editions think? Here’s our quick chat with the startup SNIFFY.
What do you remember about this competition?
Winning the 2nd BIL Innovation Award in 2018 at the PYSU firstly allowed us to display an Award that served to reassure investors and accelerators in the world in which we were then able to participate (UPWARD LABS in Connecticut from October 2019 to April 2020).
What did you get out of the PYSU prize? What has happened for you since then?
The award of €20,000 relieved our cash flow and allowed us to reinvest in our prototype and Proof of Concept that we then exhibited on the CES LAS VEGAS 2019.
What are your tips for preparing for and making a difference at such an event?
First of all, work on your strengths of scenic and oral conviction with clear and punchy language elements. Then think about projecting a photo or video that highlights the innovation in question.
Can you pitch your startup?
SNIFFY is a sensory communication technology that transforms screens into digital perfumeries. Our patented SNIFFY technology synchronizes image, sound and fragrance while allowing consumers to purchase a product delivered the next day to the office or home. During the sensory testing phase, an Emotional Artificial Intelligence collects consumers’ emotional response to obtain Sensory Data, which is then sold to the Beauty and Food industries to help them better understand their customers’ buying patterns.
