By betting on an increase in its capital and on state subsidies, the Luxembourg SME intends to accelerate its international growth and become the European leader in metal additive manufacturing by laser fusion.

Saturne Technology raises 3.7 million euros with the support of Akiles, Eurefi, Innovation Fund and the European Materials Fund (Demeter).

The Luxembourg SME is specialized in metal additive manufacturing by laser fusion (SLM) for large industrial companies (Goodyear, Stryker, Safran group, Rotarex, Alstom Transport…).

The Luxembourg Ministry of Economy has also freed 2.7 million euros in additional subsidies to support Saturne Technology’s major investments over the next 3 years. The company also benefits from the support of its local banking partners, notably SNCI.

“This fundraising will allow Saturne Technology to continue and accelerate its investments in terms of capacity as well as in the integration of pre- and post additive manufacturing services,” explains the company in a press release.

“The fundraising will also allow the company to strengthen its team with the recruitment of a production manager and a technical sales representative for key accounts, and to continue its ambitious investments in R&D aimed at maintaining the lead it has acquired in terms of know-how, optimization and finishing of parts.”

The 19-person company is aiming for an annual production of more than 15 tons of ready-to-use parts in additive manufacturing by 2024.

Founded in 2001, Saturne Technology specializes in cutting, drilling, welding and laser cladding techniques, as well as in metal additive manufacturing by laser fusion.

Its main market segments include the high-tech industry, aeronautics, aerospace, the transportation industry and the medical sector.
