Share Your Understanding Of AI – Contribute To AI Foundational Standards

AI is more and more present in our daily lives and activities, across multiple domains. However, it is also the source of many technical and societal questions. Among the frequently discussed aspects of AI one finds its definition, its technological potential, and its capacity to replace some human actions.

In this context, technical standardization can be considered as a tool to support the demystification of the technology. To do so, the technical sub-committee ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42 Artificial Intelligence is developing two foundational standards:

Following the flow of the standards development process, these two AI foundational standards are now open for public enquiry in order to give to all interested parties the possibility to provide comments on the subject and raise questions about the proposed content.

To contribute to these international standards prior to their publication, interested organizations in Luxembourg are invited to consult them for free via the ILNAS e-Shop search engine, and to communicate their comments through the template available online. The filled-in template can then be sent to [email protected] by August, 27th, 2021.

You have also a possibility to contribute to other standards in development elaborated in the technical sub-committee ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42 by becoming a national delegate.
