#SiliconPitch: SponsorMyEvent, how to connect Sponsors and Event Organizers?

The easiest way to solve these two problems is SponsorMyEvent. In this Silicon Pitch interview, founder Peter Pöhle tells us the story of the launch of this matchmaking platform in Luxembourg and how he manages the day-to-day, from the development of the website to the integration of the offers and the international expansion. You launched SponsorMyEvent less than a year ago. How is going the business development?

Amazingly fast. We saw a fast adoption from both sponsors and event organizers. That proves that there is a true need for our marketplace.

Even more encouraging is the feedback we get from countries outside of Luxembourg: many published events are coming fro the UK and the USA.

How many event organizers and sponsors already registered? What are their benefits of using your platform?

Within not even one year we published over 700 events, 200 sponsors signed up and over 10% of event-organizers received requests from sponsors.

It has never been easier than on SponsorMyEvent to match sponsors and event organizers. Sponsors easily find the right sponsoring opportunities to bring visibility to their brand, product or service. Organizers can get in touch with sponsors they didn’t even know before or that where completely out of reach otherwise.

SponsorMyEvent is really facilitating the whole sponsoring process for both sides. That includes not only the contract negotiations, but also the secured online-payment of the sponsoring-money.

We met last time during the matchmaking event between entrepreneurs and investors, what are the hot news?

We are very proud that we can announce the support of Xavier Buck (EuroDNS, Datacenter …). He is a perfect match for our endeavor: a skilled entrepreneur, tech savvy and oriented towards international markets.

Do you plan to open a new market?

We are currently launching SponsorMyEvent in London. This will be followed by a launch in New York in 2015 from where we’ll spread towards the USA.
