Standardization In Action: ISO/IEC 20000 Family Of Standards For Good IT Services Management

The ISO/IEC 20000 family of standards introduces an IT service management system. It specifies the requirements for an organization to establish, implement, maintain and continually improve an IT service management system and provides recommendations for the implementation of these requirements as well as links to other IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).

In order to support organizations that provide IT services to their customers, the main standard of the ISO/IEC 20000 family, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 Information technology — Service management — Part 1: Service management system requirements, proposes requirements for planning, designing, developing, delivering and improving the services. The principal objective of these requirements is to enable an organization to satisfy customers and to create value.

The video proposed below introduces the ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 standard as well as the other standards of the ISO/IEC 20000 family in order to allow interested organizations to discover the possibilities offered by an IT service management system as well as possible links with other IT service management framework like ITIL. The video also presents the different services offered by ILNAS and ANEC GIE for the benefit of the national market to consult, buy or participate in the development of standards.
