Startup CarPay-Diem Selected by Valeo

CarPay-Diem is a service offered by the company Kwalyo. Available on several mobile applications or in connected vehicles, it allows the petrol pump to be turned on and the fuel to be paid for automatically. For partner service stations, CarPay-Diem is a simple and effective way to establish a relationship with drivers, increase retail sales and offer other services.

Turning on the petrol pump, paying for fuel automatically from inside the car, and accumulating loyalty points with a smartphone or a connected vehicle – this is the new experience proposed by CarPay-Diem.

After a year of technical and commercial development, the Strassen-based startup has a platform that is compatible with more than 65,000 service stations through a bundle of networks stretching right across Europe.

For partner service stations, CarPay-Diem is a simple and effective way to create a relationship with drivers, increase retail sales and offer other services.

This young company has recently signed contracts with the developers of various mobile applications for them to become part of the CarPay-Diem service and make it accessible to several million drivers over the next few weeks.

The low-profile adopted by the Luxembourg-based start-up since its creation in May 2016 is no longer necessary. As a matter of fact, the VALEO group selected CarPay-Diem from dozens of start-ups to participate in Lab Valeo, which is dedicated to automotive technologies, at the Vivatech fair in Paris mid-June, an unmissable rendez-vous for innovators and pioneers of the future.

“We are very pleased that CarPay-Diem has been chosen by Valeo. This selection by one of the world leaders of automotive OEMs constitutes an important recognition for our team,” explains Frédéric Stiernon, founder and CEO of CarPay-Diem. “This participation with Vivatech will subsequently allow us to meet new decision-makers and potential investors, which will undoubtedly add even more value to our project.”

The month of June looks promising for the startup. Indeed, by this time it will be possible to refuel at the first CarPay-Diem service station partners. Initially available in Belgium, the service will gradually be extended in the coming months in other European countries.
