More than 135 startups (originating from a range of places such as the university incubator and England) competed in several rounds of pitches, from which a panel rated them and passed only some onto the finals. Social Impact and Female Empowerment competitors went through three rounds, while Disruptive Startup competitors went through six!
Competition 1 – Female Empowerment
Taking the €50,000 prize was StarTalers, the Luxembourgish online financial coach and roboadvisor. StarTalers supports women willing to invest sustainably! StarTalers invests part of its benefits to further empower women in more precarious life conditions through financing initiatives promoting education and economic autonomy.
Competition 2 – Social Impact
Taking the €50,000 prize was FibriCheck (Qompium), Belgian-based digital health company focusing on the development and commercialization of low-cost, scalable and user-friendly medical grade mobile applications for a better health.
