The Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg Competition Announces Three Finalists

On 12 November, the 10 finalists of the 15th edition of the Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg (CYEL) pitched their ideas to a jury. Today, the top 3 finalists have been announced: Mattia Raffaelli (RoomMate), Tahereh Pazouki (Magrid) and Quentin de Madre (Kidola). The winner of the competition will be announced on the evening of 1 December during the gala evening held at the Chamber of Commerce.

As Luxembourg’s tech ecosystem keeps growing year by year, so does the quality of the CYEL participants. Since 2006, this competition has been held to foster the growth of the ecosystem and celebrate the most innovative ideas in Luxembourg.

“Entrepreneurship is essential for transforming great ideas into innovation and innovation is the engine of economic growth and social welfare. After having reduced the list of 30 applicants down to 10, the finalists pitched their ideas to an independent jury at the BIL HQ on 12 November. The decorated jury consisted of Daniel Haag (BIL), Patrick Weis (KPMG), Carolina Vasselli and Elodie Vincent (Bonn Steichen & Partners.), Candi Carrera (Microsoft), Jerome Wiwinius (LALUX), Amélie Madinier (Le Village), Stefan Berendt (Luxinnovation), Bastien Berg (Luxembourg-City Incubator), Romain Hoffmann (LBAN).

RoomMate → Mattia Raffaelli

Online platform for landlords, automatizing main of the time-consuming processes, like tenant onboarding, rent collection and bank reconciliation, maintenance management and portfolio reporting

Magrid  → Tahereh Pazouki

Magrid is a visual based pedagogical programme, 100% scientifically tested, to improve early childhood development in math, visual space, cognitive abilities

Kidola → Quentin de Madre

Kidola is an app designed for the childcare sector, allowing educators to quickly report on daily activities and events, which are then shared with the parents.

To find out the winner of the CYEL 2021 awards, join the gala organised at the Chamber of Commerce on 1 December 2021. The award ceremony will be hosted by Pedro Castilho public speaking coach and owner of Verbalius, and opened by a guest speech of Ilana Devillers, founder of Food4All, and former CYEL participant.
