Luc Azilinon, serial entrepreneur and mobility expert, launches the first MIDAS center in Luxembourg. Based in the Cloche d’Or, the center promises to take care of all your mobility repairs at a fraction of the regular rate, including EVs, e-scooters and anything that falls under the category of soft mobility.

As a founder of two companies and an employee in the French and Luxembourgish automotive industry for more than two decades, Luc Azilinon knows what it takes to run a successful business. While MIDAS is a well-established brand all over the world – they have over 2,600 centers in 25 countries – this will be the first MIDAS center in Luxembourg.

“It’s always a big responsibility when you are introducing something new in the country because you have to promote and organise a lot of events for people to get to know the brand,” says Azilinon.

Despite the big responsibility, Luc Azilinon realised that launching a mobility center that undercuts the market price, includes a focus on soft mobility and does not discriminate based on brands, was also a big opportunity.

“We are not only focusing on being less expensive, we are also trying to offer the customer a really enjoyable experience.”

“The first motivation was to introduce in the Luxembourgish market a global solution that can help anyone regardless of the brand of their vehicle,” says Luc Azilinon.

MIDAS is not only a repair center for different cars, however. Next to repairing thermic, electric and hybrid cars, MIDAS also repairs other transportation devices. These include anything that falls under the umbrella of soft mobility; e-bikes, e-scooters, scooters, regular bikes – you name it.

“A Customer Experience”

Interestingly for the customer, MIDAS also promises to be “20-30% cheaper than the car manufacturer” and faster as well. For minor repairs they have even installed a working space that comes with Wi-Fi and coffee, allowing today’s digital natives to work while their car is being fixed.

“We are not only focusing on being less expensive, we are also trying to offer the customer a really enjoyable experience,” says Luc Azilinon. “Our solution is also very comfortable because anyone can come without an appointment.”

Important to note, MIDAS does not focus on body repairs, only smaller repairs and maintenance.

With the continued support of Luxinnovation, Azilinon hopes to open three further MIDAS centers in Luxembourg in the coming year.
