For its fifth edition, Orange Luxembourg’s accelerator is targeting the creation of new experiences powered by AR, VR or taking place in the metaverse. The emphasis is on anything from new retail experiences to entertainment to cybersecurity and more. Applications are open until 20 April 2022.

As one of the largest international startup accelerator programmes, the excitement surrounding Orange Fab is always big.

Keeping up to date with the latest technological innovations, Orange’s programme picks a new theme each year. With digital and the experience economy continuing to boom, it only makes sense that this edition’s theme is related to creating new experiences.

Applicants active in VR, AR or the metaverse and working on creating experiences related to retail, entertainment, sports technology, cybersecurity and health care are invited to apply.

“Today, these technologies are progressively integrating many fields of activity. Their strong potential is particularly evident in the field of commerce and gaming,” explains Corinne Lozé, CEO of Orange Luxembourg. “Our wish, with this new season of Orange Fab, is to be able to explore these possibilities by supporting players who invest in these technologies, allowing their solutions to emerge.”

Call For Applications

Startups have until 20 April 2022 to apply, after which a selection of five startups will have to pitch in front of a jury of Orange executives in early June. The winners will join the accelerator programme for 6 months and get the opportunity to test their projects with Orange Luxembourg teams.

Orange’s vast network of experts, contacts and distribution channels will all be made available to the winners. This unique opportunity helps the winners to jump-start their businesses and start their entrepreneurial journey on the right foot.

Silicon Luxembourg Collaborates

One of Orange Fab’s latest editions saw EmailTree, a Luxembourg-based start-up join the programme. Having recently raised €2.5 million, the question begs who will replicate EmailTree’s success?

Together with Silicon Luxembourg, Orange keeps pushing for more innovation in Luxembourg and beyond. Having recently partnered to launch a new season of “The Elevator”, a series of founders pitching their startup in 30 seconds in the Pfaffenthal lift, both parties are excited to see which innovative solutions startups will come up with.

Interested applicants can apply via Orange Fab’s application portal.
