Ulo saw the light of the day thanks to Mu Design, a startup created in 2015 and located in the Technoport facilities in Belval. Founder and CEO Vivien Muller took his concept to Kickstarter and knew an instant viral success, gathering the whooping amount of 1,6M euros.

Thanks to the funds collected on Kickstarter, Ulo the owl could finally crack its egg and meet the public: more than 13k units have been sold.
Mu design is now looking for post-seed capital on Seedrs to enlarge its vision of what daily devices should look and act like. The startup the first Luxembourgish company to launch an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs.
Ulo and friends have aroused a viral success on social media, with videos totaling more than 60 million views on Facebook.
