Videobot has secured €2.8 million in a funding round led by Volta Ventures, with participation from Expon Capital and Superhero Capital, bringing total funding to €5.5 million.
The investment will accelerate the growth of its Video Experience (VX) platform, which enhances videos with interactive elements like branching, navigation, custom buttons, forms, and calls to action. Built-in analytics provide brands with deeper insights, enabling data-driven decisions to optimize engagement.
“Videobot is making video-driven customer engagement scalable,” said Frank Maene of Volta Ventures. “Gone are the days of static web pages and chatbots—VX empowers businesses to create dynamic, personalized journeys.”
Co-founder Matias Mäenpää emphasized the platform’s effectiveness, stating, “Companies using Videobot see up to 5x higher conversion rates and increased customer satisfaction. By adding an interactive element to video, we’re changing the way brands connect with their audiences.”
“Start talking with potential clients on day one. Not on day 300.”

Key moments and challenges
Reflecting on the company’s journey since its founding in 2022, Mäenpää highlighted the international aspect as a defining experience. “Since the start, we’ve been working with multicultural teams and clients around the globe. That’s been the greatest moment for me individually.”
However, there were challenges as well. “One of the biggest challenges was being strict about our ideal customer profile (ICP). In the beginning, we sold opportunistically to all kinds of companies. Understanding who we bring concrete value to and having the courage to say no to non-ICP clients—even if they wanted to buy—was tough but essential.”
What’s next for Videobot?
With this new funding, Videobot has ambitious goals. “Revenue-wise, our aim is to 4x,” said Mäenpää. “On the product side, we’re bringing some super interesting AI elements, becoming an even more omnichannel solution that covers a large part of micro-moments enterprises have with their clients, and enhancing our data and analytics capabilities.”
Drawing from his own experience, Mäenpää shared key advice for other startup founders, particularly in SaaS: “Start talking with potential clients on day one. Not on day 300.”
Founded in 2022, Videobot is a Finnish-Luxembourgish SaaS startup that combines short videos and chatbots to revolutionize online customer engagement. The no-code platform allows businesses to create, manage, and analyze interactive video content with ease, helping brands enhance their digital interactions through immersive video experiences.
Videobot recently won Luxembourg’s Startup World Cup 2024 Regional Final, securing a place in the global finals in San Francisco. “This win validated our efforts and energized us,” said Mäenpää.
With customers in 20+ countries, Videobot continues to expand its global reach and innovation in video-based customer engagement.
