Wien in Luxembourg: Viennese Startups Explore Potential Market in Luxembourg City

A delegation of Viennese startups, active in smart-tourism, smart-environment, and smart-economy, recently visited Luxembourg City as part of the “Wien in Luxembourg” program.

The program “Wien in Luxembourg” proposed by the Austrian Embassy and the City of Luxembourg, aims to promote cultural and economic exchange between the two cities. The six selected startups were able to engage in enriching discussions with professionals from different backgrounds and discover the potential of Luxembourg as an ideal market to develop and test new products and services.

During their two-day visit, the participants met with potential investors, commercial partners, and local experts in networking events. They also visited the House of Startups (HOST) to learn about the startup ecosystem in Luxembourg, discover opportunities to establish their business in the capital, meet potential investors and pitch their ideas to HOST, Luxembourg-City Incubator, and Luxinnovation representatives. Additionally, they had the chance to exchange with officials from the City of Luxembourg responsible for Smart City projects and economic development.

This was the opportunity for them to explore the local startup ecosystem and identify potential markets for their innovative products and services. During the two-day visit, they engaged in enriching discussions with local professionals, met with potential investors and commercial partners, and visited the House of Startups to learn about the startup ecosystem in Luxembourg. The startups showed great interest in the opportunities available in Luxembourg to establish their business, team up with the city, and seek investment opportunities.

The visit highlighted the importance of international collaboration and the potential for economic growth through cross-border partnerships.
