ScanBros has joined the Silicon Luxembourg Founders Club. Co-founder Matthieu Gress tells us more about the company.
Can you pitch your startup in a few words?
Heavy equipment is bought and sold every day around the world. The biggest issue in the machinery trading industry is creating trust between both parties. MachineryScanner builds trust and transparency at scale. This industry is ripe for disruption, and the users in the market are now tech-savvy.
Why did you decide to create this company?
The circumstances have been in our favour to become entrepreneurs. We had the opportunity to work and start our career in an industry where we noticed gaps. I met the right people and the right business partner. With Stefano, we decided to build a system that could change this sector.
What are your product(s)/service(s) and your business model?
Our B2B business model has two main services: The Review System to build more trust, and the Aggregator to increase sales. We help our clients sell more machines and enter new markets, and we provide them with the digital tools they need to compete on the international market.
How is your offering different from your competitors and other market players?
We have sectorial competitors, none of whom offer the end-to-end package like MachineryScanner. Our platform is the only one-stop solution to trade machinery safely and efficiently around the world. We bring the entire value chain together with technology and data for everyone to benefit.
Why did you decide to join the Founders Club?
Silicon Luxembourg is a growing community and a real hub for entrepreneurs, companies, and business angels in Luxembourg. Knowing the organisation for a long time, we naturally decided to be part of the Founders club. The events are great to network and find solutions with skilled professionals.
What’s next?
We are currently raising funds to scale MachineryScanner. The tech is built and deployed, we have found product-market fit, we have a great pipeline of clients, and the machinery trading industry is ready to go through its digital transformation. Starting from Europe, our goal is to go global.
