Gregory Brion, Managing Director of Dotika Paris, explains why the AI firm is opening in Paris and what it will bring to French banks and industry.
How has Dotika evolved since our last article?
A little over a year ago, we told you AI should create real business impact. Since then, we have stopped talking about it and started shipping it.
Dotika closed its first year profitable, without a cent of outside money. The team has grown to over a dozen people in Luxembourg, and Gregory Brion has joined the leadership team, where he leads, among other things, our expansion into France.
Our four pillars are still there: AI strategy, training for teams, insights for leaders, and building real AI solutions. What changed is delivery. Insurers, banks and industrial companies now bring us their hardest problems: legacy systems nobody dares to touch, implementation projects that never end, data nobody reads. AI is our tool, not our slogan. Clients don’t buy AI. They buy the result.
Our internal AI newsletter went from idea to working platform in three weeks. That became our method, Vibe to Prod, and every project now goes to production. A proof of concept that never ships is a cost, not a result.
Why Paris, and why now? What will Gregory’s team focus on first?
Software development just jumped a century. A lot of companies haven’t heard the news yet. France is full of IT projects that cost millions, last for years and too often never reach production. We have proven in Luxembourg that there is another way.
Gregory spent 25 years in capital markets and financial IT, many of them at Murex. He knows exactly where the money burns. The Paris team starts with:
- Banks: legacy takeover, data migration, interfaces and reporting. Fixed price, at least three times cheaper than a traditional project.
- Industrial companies: no more dashboards. An AI agent that tells management every morning what matters.
- Leadership teams: training and AI strategy, as in Luxembourg.
- We don’t sell days. We sell results, at a fixed price. Our AI Vengers work in small squads, with an engineering method built for AI from the ground up.
“We’re not coming to Paris to make slides. We’re coming to replace ten-million-euro projects. Banks are first in line.”
Gregory Brion, Managing Director, Dotika Paris
How does Paris fit into your European plans? What should we expect over the next 12 months?
A year ago, we said we would become Luxembourg’s leading AI company within 18 months. We intend to keep that promise. Luxembourg stays our home, and our team stays rooted here. Paris is the first step, not the last: it lets us work with more companies across Europe. Over the next 12 months, expect:
a Paris team that grows as fast as the projects come in;
a banking and capital markets offer, alongside insurance;
our own software, starting with KYC;
French references, named as soon as clients agree.
“In five years, paying for IT projects by the day will look as absurd as putting a stamp on an email.”
(Geoffrey Nichil, CEO, Dotika)
