Bëssen Wëssen Card Game Is Mini-Enterprise Champion

Lycée Aline Mayrisch is establishing a name for itself in the startup world after two of its teams won first and second place in the national mini-enterprise contest. 

First prize was awarded to Bëssen Wëssen (a little knowledge), whose card game teaches people about the grand duchy and encourages integration. The team of 9 students, including Cherine Nothum, Julia Elgarrach, Emma Pardaens, Kim Lanners, Lynn Haupert, Mathieu Vercauteren, Véronique Olinger, Vicky Noben and Yanis Aboummaad, will represent Luxembourg at the JA European Company of the Year competition at the GEN-E festival, in Istanbul, Turkey, from 11 to 14 July 2023. 

Second prize was awarded by to beach towel makers Beachtime from Lycée Aline Mayrisch, while third prize went to Vision Wood from Lycée Michel Lucius who developed a desk charging station and apple pencil cases.

All three received the Startup Package from Reka Print.

The three were selected from among 16 finalists who presented their products at a ceremony at Kinepolis-Kirchberg on 8 June. Altogether, 91 teams from 24 secondary schools participated in the national mini-enterprise programme run by Jonk Entrepreneuren at the start of the school year.
