Machine Learning in Finance: Advances and Future Directions
Machine learning is changing our world at an accelerating pace. In this talk we will discuss the latest developments in machine learning research viewed through the lens of the finance industry. Methods for addressing the key issues arising in applications – explainability of machine learning models, nonstationarity, performance and efficiency – are advancing rapidly. We will review some of the recent advances in NLP, applications of neural networks and explainability and talk about the state of the art and applications finance. Finally, we will look at some possible future directions and conclude with a Q&A session.
