Since its founding in 2016, Razrtech has evolved from a managed services company into a pioneer in tech-driven innovation. From launching creative products to adapting to market shifts, the company has expanded its reach globally while focusing on community empowerment through its latest platform, Socially. In a conversation with the founder, Anshul Gupta, we dive into the company’s journey, challenges, and future vision for tech in Luxembourg and beyond.

A shift from IT services to product innovation

Razrtech’s founder began the company in 2016 as a managed services provider, later expanding into product development using revenue from IT services.

“We started building products from the ground up from the money we made in IT services. We launched quite a few products, like AwardLab, which is still active, and Entertainer, a ticketing platform that didn’t survive COVID,” the founder shared. Over time, Razrtech shifted its focus from consumer web and mobile products to application modernization for banks. Today, the company serves major clients in Luxembourg and recently launched a neo-banking suite in partnership with Tech Mahindra.

The birth of Socially: Empowering creators and communities

Razrtech’s latest product, Socially, launched in late 2022, is aimed at solving a major gap in the creator economy—empowering communities with greater control over monetization.

“Since 2017, we were experimenting with creator monetization and learned how creators can build global businesses through communities. We bundled those features into Socially, offering a comprehensive platform that supports payments, memberships, courses, merchandise, and more.”

Socially’s success spans across various industries, from banks and SaaS companies to creators and social networks. The platform already serves over 200 communities and has established major markets in the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia.

“I see a rise in micro-SaaS products solving specific problems, with solopreneurs using intelligent generative assistants to run their own products.”

Setbacks are inevitable in the tech industry, and Razrtech has not been immune to them. The COVID-19 pandemic, in particular, led to significant losses. However, the founder has a resilient mindset: “Setbacks occur a lot in the tech industry. We saw our own products being wiped out by COVID. It’s definitely hard, but it’s a VUCA environment (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous). That’s why we don’t depend on one product as a strategy; we always keep iterating and building multiple revenue streams.”

This approach of continuous innovation and diversification has helped Razrtech remain competitive and adaptable in an ever-changing industry.

Filling the market gap with Socially

Razrtech’s flagship product, Socially, addresses a specific gap in the market: providing community owners with full control over their platform.

“Socially gives control to a community in ways other platforms don’t, especially in terms of payment methods, virtual currency, and customizations. The platform is used by a wide range of industries, from creators to telcos, offering unique monetization features,” the founder explained.

AwardLab: Revolutionizing event management in Luxembourg

AwardLab is another Razrtech product making waves, especially in Luxembourg’s event space. Initially launched in 2018, it’s been instrumental in executing major awards and competitions.

“AwardLab has been used for every third award in Luxembourg, from Lux ICT Awards to the Healthtech Summit. Recently, it made a comeback with its SaaS version, and JCI used it to run their competitions.”

The product is also a key tech provider for large events such as Arch Summit, ICT Spring, and Nexus2050, all powered by Razrtech.

Socially Launches SaaS-based Social Networking Platform

What’s next for Socially?

Razrtech is constantly enhancing Socially, and the next major update will introduce a Learning Management System (LMS) feature.

“We’re launching an LMS mode soon. We have over 100 competitors apart from the social giants, but in terms of features, we’re in the top 25. So far, so good,” said the founder confidently.

Looking ahead, Razrtech’s founder foresees significant changes in the consumer software space.

“The value of software will drop as distribution and duplication become cheaper, but the cost of talent to create it will remain high. I see a rise in micro-SaaS products solving specific problems, with solopreneurs using intelligent generative assistants to run their own products,” he predicted.

Razrtech’s journey from a managed services company to a global player in community-driven tech innovation highlights its adaptability and commitment to creating meaningful impact. Whether through Socially’s community empowerment features or AwardLab’s event solutions, Razrtech is set to continue shaping the tech landscape in Luxembourg and beyond.
