How do you make your pictures stand out on social media?

When you take a moment to flip through our portfolio of clients, you might spot a unique kind of imperfection in the way we capture some of our shots (Wengler x Umami).

Some pictures might come across as a bit shaky, kind of like Valentin couldn’t keep his hands steady while snapping those photos. But let me tell you, that’s all part of our plan. We’re going for a vibe that brings our photos to life. You see, we’ve noticed how tough it can be for pictures to fully express all the emotions, the hustle, and the movement happening in a single instant. By leaning into this style, we’re able to make whoever or whatever we’re focusing on really stand out, with everything else seeming to whirl around them, just like it does in real life.

This technique? It’s our way of not just capturing a moment, but also the feeling and the energy that comes with it.

How do you recommend benefitting from offline marketing strategies in digital times?

In the digital age, where screen fatigue and ad saturation are real challenges for marketers, offline marketing strategies can serve as a powerful tool to cut through the noise, create meaningful connections, and drive brand awareness and loyalty.

A cheap and effective way to stand out is by implementing Guerilla Marketing Strategies: the goal is to generate significant buzz with minimal expenditure. Imagine turning a strip from the Hamilius zebra crossing into an oversized version of your company’s business card? Would be pretty cool right?  Your efforts would not only be seen by tens of thousands of pedestrians crossing the road but would also spark considerable conversation and engagement on social media platforms. Hence, offline strategies can also create compelling content for your digital channels.

PS: I didn’t just tell you to break the law to grow your business!

How does one get views like Mr Beast?

Now that you’re hooked, let me explain how to get views on SM in Luxembourg.

  1. You will hate our first point but.. Talk Luxembourgish. We have seen that talking in Luxembourgish had a huge impact on the success of our videos. People in Lux are still not used to having local content creators, they will stop scrolling as soon as they hear Luxembourgish. Of course, this is not the only factor in the success of a video but we have seen a huge impact compared to locally English-produced videos
  2. Storytelling and structure of a video. Mr.Beast always begins his entertainment videos by showing a very quick recap of the whole video except the outcome/result, this gets the viewer hyped to watch from start to end. If you begin your Giveaway video by showing the winner and their prize, the viewers will lose interest and keep scrolling. So try to visualize a way to showcase briefly what’s gonna happen during your video to get your viewer hyped.
  3. Find a captivating hook. If you have a catchy intro sentence, you’re on your way to grab the viewer’s attention. For example,  “Ever wondered why Mr.Beast shows the whole video during the intro..” , “If you hate being hooked by creators, watch this,” “Mr.Beast VS Skandal Agency, who has the better hooks”
  4. Adapt to your audience, if you’re targeting, for example, high schoolers, you want to have a model/narrator close to your audience group (here: maybe a uni student), and you want to post as soon as they’re off School (here: around 2/3 PM), you’ll want to use phone quality content (shot and edited on iPhone, no big edits and graphics that will scream big budget ad)

What tips do you have for not getting lost in the ever-changing social media landscape?

  1. Don‘t try too hard. The best content is and always will be the most authentic one.
  2. Either use a trend directly or don‘t use it at all. It‘s a very boomerish move to use trends only a few months after the actual trend was viral/successful.
  3. You will have to consume a lot of content on a daily basis if you truly want to stay up to date and understand what works on Social Media and what doesn‘t.
  4. Don’t try to understand the algorithm. It changes every other day and in the end, it only cares about how long users actually consume your content.
  5. Finally, take some breaks from SM sometimes, your brain needs a refresh every once in a while.

How do you use ChatGPT to your advantage?

We know that by now you have probably read tons of articles on ChatGPT, but we think that you shouldn‘t use it to replace your complete creative direction.

ChatGPT is the perfect tool to get your brainstorming started when you are just feeling like you don‘t know where to start when you‘re looking for a good content idea. After getting your first response it should be way easier to use more relevant prompts which give your idea more and more structure. When your brainstorm turns into something more concrete, we think that‘s the point where you should stop using ChatGPT and finish the job with your own „superhuman“ creativity.

ChatGPT has become a part of a lot of projects at our agency, but it still doesn‘t come close to the human imagination… yet.
