Hunting For The Right Applicant

Originally launched in Paris, the French HRTech Hunteed has recently opened a Luxembourg office at the Luxembourg-City Incubator from where it expects to expand into new European markets.

Finding the right talent for a new position is an important task for any corporate. However, it is also often a very time consuming and challenging process.

Hunteed aims to simplify this process by “providing a marketplace that connects corporates with over 1400 headhunters active in a wide range of industries,” says Isabelle Weill, managing director of the Luxembourgish subsidiary.

The way it works is simple. Corporates looking for new talent sign up to the platform where they describe their company and the job details they are hiring for. Once these are uploaded, a proprietary algorithmn sends them the best-suited headhunters who then try to find the best possible match.

Where Hunteed stands out is its lack of exclusivity and success-fee subscription model. Indeed, Hunteed allows corporates’ HR departments to engage in their own candidate search and only charges them if they find a suitable candidate. The fees are capped at a minimum of 4.000 EUR (excluding taxes) and vary between 18-20% of the candidates annual salary, depending on the chosen subscription model.

While its platform is open to corporates active in all industries, its headhunters are specifically targeting applicants in middle and upper level management jobs.

A Strategic Position

Since the entire platform relies on the expertise of its headhunters, Hunteed does not take their recruitment lightly. A minimum of 4-5 years of HR experience and being registered count among the selection criteria.

Launched in 2016 in France, Hunteed has already earned its stripes in the French market. Having successfully weathered Covid-19 and even increased its turnover by 130% in 2021, Hunteed was ready to expand its services. Luxembourg’s “strategic position in Europe” seemed perfectly suited for its expansion.

With big companies such as Coca Cola, Auchan and Airbus already on board, Hunteed is well positioned to expand its services. They are eyeing the Big Four and are looking to expand to Belgium, The Netherlands and Scandinavia in the near future.
