Minister of Economy Franz Fayot announced Luxembourg’s membership in the European Startup Nation Alliance (ESNA) during the VivaTech tech fair.

Luxinnovation, the national innovation agency, will represent Luxembourg in this alliance focused on improving the European entrepreneurial ecosystem.

ESNA, a non-profit association founded in 2021, aims to establish common standards, share best practices, and create a unified digital platform for startup decision-makers. With Luxembourg joining ESNA, the alliance now counts 15 member countries.

“We can learn from others and they can learn from us. We want to raise standards through our contribution.”

Minister Fayot emphasized the significance of Luxembourg’s participation, stating that it aligns with the country’s roadmap for developing the startup ecosystem. “We’re joining the association to help harmonize and standardize startups across Europe. We will also be introducing two certifications for our Fit 4 Start and JUMP programs”, tells Fayot during a press conference at VivaTech.

Luxinnovation, responsible for promoting Luxembourg’s startup ecosystem internationally, views ESNA membership as an opportunity to enhance visibility and collaboration.

Arthur Jordão, Executive Director of ESNA, stated: “We’re excited about Luxembourg’s inclusion, the country’s expertise and the potential for mutual learning and sharing of best practices.”

Luxembourg’s entry into ESNA reinforces its commitment to fostering a thriving startup environment and strengthens collaborations across Europe. “We can learn from others and they can learn from us. We want to raise standards through our contribution,” concludes Sasha Baillie, CEO of Luxinnovation.
