The PwC Foundation is launched in collaboration with the Fondation de Luxembourg. This independent entity will be a dedicated platform for the firm’s philanthropic endeavours, focusing on education, culture, and global humanitarian aid.

On Monday, PwC Luxembourg announced the establishment of the PwC Foundation Luxembourg in collaboration with Fondation de Luxembourg. With a longstanding commitment to community engagement, PwC Luxembourg views the Foundation’s creation as a significant milestone in its journey towards sustainable societal support. It ensures long-term engagement with projects aligned with its core objectives.

“We are entering into a Partnership with an institution exposing long-standing credentials and professionalism. The PwC Foundation Luxembourg is about giving local communities access to education and culture. As such, we intend to engage and contribute to local communities in the same structured and professional manner as we do in professional services client work.”

Focus on education and culture

The PwC Foundation Luxembourg will channel its resources towards projects that facilitate access to education and promote cultural enrichment. These initiatives will extend to the Grand Duchy and the countries of the Greater Region, including France, Germany, and Belgium. Additionally, the Foundation is ready to provide emergency support in response to worldwide humanitarian and environmental crises.

“PwC has engaged in philanthropy and pro-bono work for many years. We encouraged many of our employees to spend their volunteer hours on local initiatives and communities. As a segregated and dedicated foundation, we intend to bundle our donations and broaden our impact by embarking on a long-term journey with our people, the local communities and public authorities.”

These committees will identify and pre-select charitable initiatives in alignment with the Foundation’s goals, ensuring strategic decision-making and impactful outcomes.

Guided by industry leaders

The PwC Foundation Luxembourg’s management committee comprises esteemed individuals from both PwC Luxembourg and the Fondation de Luxembourg, including Rima Adas, Olivier Carré, Chantal Braquet, Tonika Hirdman, and Stéphanie Damgé. Their collective expertise and vision will steer the Foundation towards sustainable growth and meaningful impact.

With their vision and guidance, the Foundation aims to establish a defined philosophy centred on thematic focus areas. Through strategic investments and long-term partnerships, the Foundation seeks to drive lasting change in education, culture, and humanitarian aid.

Amid this execution, Fondation de Luxembourg will support the initiative by providing the legal and professional framework necessary for the PwC Foundation Luxembourg’s operations. As a philanthropy expertise centre, the Fondation de Luxembourg offers personalised support and guidance, facilitating the effective implementation of PwC’s philanthropic strategy.

“We are delighted to accompany PwC Luxembourg in the launch of their new foundation and help translate their company’s values into an effective philanthropic strategy. We look forward to working alongside PwC partners and employees to select and support impactful projects that all collaborators can be proud of.”

The PwC Foundation Luxembourg’s objective is to grow from a philanthropic to a reforming foundation with a defined philosophy, focusing on themes rather than single projects, and engaging in long-term support.
