This year, the event will be entirely digital and all the teams will challenge each other online. Who will be the best team of developers in Luxembourg? Over the years, Game of Code has gained in popularity especially with the development in the ICT sector, the startup ecosystem but also the digital transformation of companies. Recruiting developers has become a challenge in itself as the needs are becoming more nuanced.
This hackathon is an opportunity for companies to create teams of 2 to 4 developers. As for the curious geeks registering from across Europe, they will always be able to gather their forces to take up the challenge.
No less than three partners and big names – Digital Luxembourg, Docler Holding and LUXHUB – are joining forces for the Open Data, Hack the Future and Open Banking challenges respectively. The first one is about digital inclusion, with topics such as accessibility, inclusive design and social cohesion. The second is directly linked to the current situation to find solutions to the issues that have emerged during the crisis. The third is to create a new open banking application. If you are interested in this last challenge, LUXHUB offers you a free registration using the code LUXHUB20. Just saying!
“Our Open Banking challenge provides competitors with the unique opportunity to test their skills within a real and functional environment”, says, Jacques Pütz, CEO of LUXHUB. “Hackathon participants will have access to the LUXHUB One API, which enables payment initiation and the retrieval of bank account information from multiple banks via a single integration. For the purpose of the hackathon, LUXHUB will create mock bank accounts to enable each team to ideate and develop apps that will be of real benefit to the end user”. Also, the company, which this year announced a EUR 7.4 million fundraising round and a partnership with payment leader SIX Payments, has just been listed in The Paypers’ Global Open Banking Report . This means serious business!
Oh yes, I forgot to tell you the date. The hackathon will take place between October 9- 11. Make sure you are ready with your stock of energy drinks!
