The Luxembourg Business Angel Network (LBAN) announced a new board for 2024. Despite a small reshuffle, Michel Rzonzef remains at the helm.

During the organisation’s general assembly, two new members were announced, with two others bowing out. Tulin Tokatli, CEO of Pitch Me First, and Ronaldo Rossi, SAP Consultant at digital services company Infosys, were the newcomers. Arnold Spruit, who used to be vice president, and Olivier Olivier Keiser made way for the new additions.

This results in a slight management change, with angel investor Romain Hoffmann taking the position of vice president. Philippe Linster, CEO of the House of Startups, remains the network’s treasurer. Michel Rzonzef, chairman of the board at Goodyear, remains the LBAN’s president after he took the position in 2023.

“In 2024, we will continue supporting the Luxembourg startup ecosystem. We will further bridge with Luxembourg and International actors who are a source of support to our startups, be it for investment or expertise.”

Looking back on 2023, LBAN highlighted €6.9m in investment by its members and the implementation of their co-investment tool, LetzGrow. The latter aims to allow investors to enter deals with smaller capital. Meanwhile, the number of the network’s members rose to 160. The organisation identified financing in the value chain, the changing ecosystem, and being dependent on too few active members as the main challenges moving forward.

The general assembly was held at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), allowing the attendees to enjoy a guided visit of Luxembourg artist Sumo’s exhibition at the bank, carried out by the artist himself.
