Outlook 2025: The Trends You’ll Swear You Saw Coming

The question isn’t whether the change is coming—it’s how we’ll meet it. The Office CEO Gosia Kramer reflects on the critical role of emotional presence in 2025, exploring how authentic leadership and emotional intelligence will shape workplace culture. The future has never looked objectively brighter, yet felt subjectively harder to navigate.

1. Making AI Cry

Using AI can sometimes feel like inviting an abusive narcissist into your life—constantly changing everything we say while reminding us that our emotions don’t matter. Yet, we see arguably the most influential person on the planet, Elon Musk, demonstrating the power of emotional presence in all his interactions and leadership.

While much has been said about Emotional Intelligence, Jensen Huang has made it a core value of Nvidia’s culture—and we all know the results.

The point is, we are moving towards a future where emotional availability has become necessary to shape workplace culture and leverage the impact of AI on emotions.

Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing some of the coldest market leaders become emotionally present—it will be a blast. After all, anyone who has watched Wicked knows that authenticity and emotional availability, is the new vibe.

2. Wellbeing Goes High-Tech

After the food pyramid collapsed and we started realizing that mental health issues might have roots in our microbiome, the game is truly on for those taking their health seriously. There’s a lot to achieve on a cellular level, and as technology develops, we can expect trends like IVs on demand, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, and light therapies to emerge.

The entire rejuvenating and longevity industry will have a good year ahead, with entrepreneurs, medical and non-medical innovators leading the forefront of preventive healthcare. CEOs and high performers will learn to take medical shortcuts to immediately improve performance or recover from illnesses faster.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind starting the year with an NAD+ and vitamin infusion. Is there anyone on the market already offering it? Please DM me.

3. Toasting to Sober Events

Alcohol-free events and innovative non-alcoholic beverages are set to take off. The entire events industry, following an impressive 2024, will continue significant growth in 2025 as the market demonstrates a continious appetite for learning and meaningful human connections.

We might see more ambitious event organizers proposing microbiome-friendly, fermented drinks like kefir or kombucha, or natural mood boosters in herb-infused waters. Expect an uptick in wellness and health workshops, seminars, and wellness-focused meetups.

The growing trend of sobriety isn’t just about skipping hangovers—it’s about rethinking how we connect.

4. Back to the Office: The Quiet Retreat from Remote Work

Let’s address the elephant in the Zoom: remote work isn’t going anywhere, but it’s shifting. Companies have spent years experimenting with hybrid and remote setups, and in 2025, many will quietly start cutting back on fully remote roles.

The trend won’t be a seismic shift, but it will push companies toward honest conversations with their teams. The future workplace won’t just be about where we work; determing of it will involve open, transparent negotiation.

I’m particularly charmed by Microsoft Japan’s case study. By reducing workweeks, the company achieved a 40% boost in productivity and a 23% drop in energy consumption—wonderful indicators for sustainable workplaces of the future.

5. Toys for the Boys, Again!

As the hunt for talent heats up, it is focusing primarily on areas statistically dominated by men.

Starting with green and renewable energy, technology, and engineering, female underrepresentation extends to AI-driven fields such as machine learning, robotics, and data science. The consequences are immediate: widening pay gaps, especially as many professions commonly held by women are among the first to be impacted by AI-driven automation.

The established (pre-AI) gender (almost) balance must brace itself to counter the forces of these economic powerhouses and contribute to enhanced, ethical AI use and output.

Waiting for Chat ShePT to be launched in 2025.
