Scaleup X Programme: The Scaling Factory From Tomorrow Street

Twenty scaleups had the opportunity to explore potential partnerships with Luxembourg corporates at the second Tomorrow Street’s Scaleup X matchmaking breakfast, a tailored networking event that kicked off Luxembourg Venture Days at Luxexpo on 22 October. The session was part of two days of meetings and activities for the 2025 Scaleup X cohort, organised by Vodafone’s Kirchberg-based accelerator, Tomorrow Street.

“As part of the Scaleup X programme, Tomorrow Street brings these scaleups to Luxembourg where they can participate in Luxembourg Venture Days, to get to know the ecosystem better, but also so that they interact with corporates,” explained CEO Sara Robles Moreno.

Among the 2025 cohort was Gentoro, a young US-based startup specialising in connecting AI to enterprise systems such as SAP. The company is considering expanding its European presence, particularly in Luxembourg.

“Depending on how this event goes, I think the founder is very interested in establishing a presence,” said Irina Ozernoy, Head of Marketing at Gentoro.

Another participant, Sakak, a Korean AI startup focused on personalisation and privacy, joined the Tomorrow Street programme to explore opportunities in the European market, with Luxembourg as its entry point. The firm already plans to establish a legal entity in the country and is part of the Fit 4 Start programme coordinated by Luxinnovation.

“We wanted to expand our business in the European market. But the problem is that we didn’t have relationships or existing partners here in Europe,” explained Sakak Director and Co-Founder Hyunji Lee, adding: “Tomorrow Street was really enthusiastic about bringing new technologies and new Scaleups into this business.”

The cohort was not limited to emerging players. Established AI translation leader DeepL was also among the 2025 beneficiaries. With EU headquarters in Cologne, the company has seen rapid growth in the B2B sector and is now exploring ways to introduce its latest innovations—including a general-purpose translation agent—to corporate clients.

For the first time, a Luxembourg company was featured among Tomorrow Street’s Scaleup X programme. Videobot, an interactive video platform now in its third year of operations, joined the programme following successful collaborations with telcos and interest from Vodafone in its technology.

“It was very natural to join the programme, and hopefully Vodafone will leverage our technology in other countries in two or three years,” said Videobot Founder Matias Mäenpää, who praised the event: “The most meaningful conversations happened when Tomorrow Street people brought the people to us, which is amazing!”

Now in its third year, the programme supports scaleups that have the potential to grow with Vodafone and its customers over a multi-year period.

“We select these companies based on a list of innovation needs from Vodafone,” said Sara Robles Moreno, adding: “These companies have the potential to become the next wave of strategic suppliers for Vodafone.”

Throughout the programme, participating firms receive hands-on support in lead generation and business development. Tomorrow Street also hosted a similar networking event in London the week prior. During their stay in Luxembourg, participants were invited to explore the city and engage with the wider Vodafone ecosystem.

Sara emphasised the importance of introducing the cohort to Luxembourg itself.

“A lot of people don’t know the country. So, we put a lot of effort when they are here, to not only come to Venture Days, but give a full overview of what it means to live in Luxembourg.”
