Classic ten-year cover is usually subject to a report from the inspection office, which implies site visits and a rather tedious process. Thanks to a partnership between four of the largest players in the field of construction insurance in Luxembourg, Trustbuild by Seco, CFDP, AlliA Insurance Brokers and Bâloise, BauHeem makes it easier by replacing onsite inspection with a risk analysis designed to verify that all parts of the construction process comply with fixed standards.
On the dedicated online platform, a series of questions enables the private individual or developer wishing to insure his/her construction site to obtain an insurance rate and subscribe online in just a few minutes. The information provided through the online form entails to define the best rate adapted to the concerned site, and to receive directly by email the All Risks insurance, Decennial Liability and Legal Protection insurance policies. Once the subscription to the policies has been validated, the risk class of the project can be defined, and will determine the deductible applicable to the Decennial Liability policy.
In addition to online subscription, BauHeem is also able to interact with the leading software in the real estate sector, via its APIs, to further facilitate its integration into the daily life of development professionals. Bâloise is the first insurer in Luxembourg to have this online approach and to offer a simple product available in just a few clicks.
A new time-saving and optimized service for real estate developers
In terms of APIs, Bâloise is far from taking its first step in this area. Evidenced for example by the first Open Insurance API launched earlier in the LUXHUB Marketplace.
In the same way, Bâloise and its partners wanted to go further after the implementation of BauHeem, to offer a service to the distribution network, and make life easier for real estate developers. Therefore, Allia Insurance Brokers, Seco and Bâloise partnered with Progetis, software specialist for real estate developers, to integrate BauHeem directly in the leader software of Luxembourgish real estate via an API.
The API offers not only an easier and more responsive way to work in an intuitive environment, but also a total transparency on prices. By connecting into Progetis, users can now get the exact price of insurance policies related to the concerned construction site, directly on their usual interface. They are able to simply finalize the transaction on www.bauheem.lu in just one click, without having to re-enter any data.
The technical expertise in connectivity and APIs of the IT teams of both parties has enabled the roll-out of this interconnection project, ensuring a smooth experience for business users, in line with Bâloise’s commitment to simplify the lives of its customers and partners.
