The Luxembourg-developed mobile fuelling and energy payment platform just announced the signing of “a landmark deal” with an innovative energy retail chain in the Nordic region. The collaboration is set to go live in September.

After receiving funding from ZF in March to further develop services for fleet customers and consolidate its market position, CarPay-Diem is set to boost its customer base by collaborating with over 500 retail stations in the Nordic region.

While the press release did not disclose the name of the Nordic retailer, it mentioned that the collaboration will enable personalised offers, mobile payments for fuel and EV charging, digitised fuel cards and future functionalities like contactless payment transactions in connected vehicles, among other things.

“Whilst our core strategy remains since the creation of the company we have been prompt to adapt and expand in response to the evolution of our industry,” said Alain Tayenne, co-founder of CarPay-Diem.

The collaboration will also allow retailers to interact with customers through digital marketing and offer discounts, promotions and messaging.

“If you consider the combination of digital marketing on top of this uniquely complete mobile payment orchestration platform, we feel that our offering is becoming pretty rich and robust,” said Alain.
