Can you explain your job in a few words?
I was recently chosen as Innovation Manager/Chief Innovation Officer (CInO) at the end of
an internal selection process. Chief engineer at Schroeder & Associés, which I joined in
September 2021, I do assume this new mission in addition to my duties as Head of Unit in the
“Buildings” department. We pay particular attention to projects linked to sustainable
resources, creators of local value and focused on the circular economy.
How does it fit into Schroeder & Associés’s strategy?
In our SCHROEDER 2030 strategy, innovation plays a key role. Innovation management has
to be done in a team spirit and flexibility, with the essential support of everyone and in a
transversality reflecting the diversity of expertise from which we are lucky enough to benefit
in the different services and units of the office.
What are the links between innovation and business?
Schroeder & Associés believes that cross-functionality and multidisciplinarity can develop
ideas and bring them forward to concrete innovation. In a flexible process, a network will
coach and challenge the ideas so that the concept, confronted with realities or even boosted by
them, can evolve, compare itself to the market, be enriched by shared experiences,
performance indicators and other ideas. According to opportunities and potentialities, this can
generate business. We are part of the circular economy for sustainable construction. Circular
thinking and action must be able to innovate and demonstrate that it works within economy.
How is your offering different from other market players?
Process improvement is part of the process. Innovation also means daring to explore different
paths from ‘We’ve always done it that way’ and giving yourself the means for this exploration
and this encouragement. Schroeder & Associés has a societal commitment and responsibilities
for the development of the territory and the well-being of those who live there and/or create
value there.
What’s next?
Schroeder 2030 focuses on sustainability and concrete action. We have to share experiences
so that planning is in fact a creator of sustainable and societal development. We are confident
in the talents and ideas of our people, in all matters. Let all this contribute to the emergence of
integrated concepts and values, for the benefit of all.
