Clean Something For Nothing and Dalza are the winners of the first edition of Luxembourg’s Social Business Incubator, a new programme by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy.

Launched in February this year, the Social Business Incubator (SBI) is a new initiative of the Luxembourg ministry to develop a social and solidarity economy within the framework of Luxembourg’s economic diversification policy.

The programme takes participants from the ideation phase to the creation of their project and provides access to “tailor-made support” to get their project up and running.

This year’s edition crowned Clean Something For Nothing (CSFN) and Dalza as winners, giving them access to the SBI office space for an entire year. CSFN tackles littering by allowing litter pickers to share the amount of trash they’ve collected, geolocate it and share the before and after pictures via their app available via the Apple Store and Google Play Store. Dalza is a web and mobile platform (to be released) that aims to empower parents of children with learning challenges to understand, manage and coordinate their needs.

CSFN has already amassed users across 53 countries that removed over 476 tones of trash from forests, rivers and beaches across the globe. The social startup continues to add community-building features such as individual collection metrics, group profiles, global and national rankings of top cleaners and educational material.

The founders César González Fernández and Lester Perez Santos will also have a stand at Luxembourg’s Impact Days on 8 July.
