NUWOT: Uncovering The Invisible Candidate Pool

Launched in early September, NUWOT is Luxembourg’s latest HRtech, promising a faster talent hiring process through targeted AI-enabled marketing and an interactive and mobile-friendly recruitment funnel.

Many qualified and skilled candidates are swimming in a candidate pool that’s inaccessible to most HR departments because they do not know how to target them. Thierry Henschen’s HRtech NUWOT (New Work Technologies) promises to change this.

For the past 13 years, the now CEO of NUWOT has been fully immersing himself in the digital life, first by working as a digital marketer for a diverse range of companies, then by running his own digital marketing agency.

After having achieved expertise in the world of marketing, he came to the conclusion that what most companies really need is better and more employees. This idea, tied with the fact that recruitment became increasingly determined by candidates’ preferences, led him to develop the NUWOT system with the help of his two cofounders at the beginning of 2023.

Targeted, mobile-friendly, fast

NUWOT offers this by providing targeted messaging through various social media channels which, in combination with a customised mobile-friendly application process, allows candidates to apply for a job in less than one minute. 

“Our application funnel pre-selects candidates and only keeps the most suited for the job. These are then added to a user-friendly CRM which our client has access to and from which they can get in touch with candidates to schedule an interview,” explains Thierry.

From crafting a compelling recruitment campaign to targeting the right candidates, NUWOT takes care of the entire recruitment process up until the interview. By targeting passive candidates – people not actively looking for a job – NUWOT vastly increases the number of potential interviewees, thereby decreasing the time needed to hire new employees.

Smart algorithms and employer branding

NUWOT uses Meta’s algorithm to do most of the heavy lifting, identifying potential candidates with the right background and skills which, combined with targeted messaging, increases the odds of a successful hire. On top of this, the messaging not only acts as an incentive to apply for the job but doubles as employer branding.

“The idea behind NUWOT is to revolutionise a stagnant employer landscape and increase both the employer and employee happiness factor and decrease the work needed to hire new talent,” explains Thierry. 

Already active in France and Luxembourg, NUWOT has already set its eyes on other European countries and is open for investment.
