“Seeds of Bravery”: EU Support For Ukrainian Ecosystem

Startups and SMEs across Europe are invited to apply to the “Seeds of Bravery” project and secure up to €60k in support.

With funding of €20m from the European Union, under the European Innovation Council (EIC), the project aims to support the Ukrainian Tech Ecosystem.

The initiative, driven by renowned tech, funding, and business companies, targets deep tech innovation, earmarking €12m to support 200 Ukrainian startups. The project endeavours to promote Ukrainian projects, facilitate market entry, and integrate the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem into the European network.

This project aims to be a key economic driver for Ukraine’s rebuilding efforts and enhance the presence of Ukrainian startups in the European innovation ecosystem.

Types of Support Available

  • Business and Innovation Services: Grants of up to €10,000 focusing on enhancing business models, plans, and growth strategies. Beneficiaries gain access to investor and accelerator communities, matchmaking activities, and international tech conferences. The first cut-off date is February 20, 2024.
  • Innovative Entrepreneurship: Grants up to €25,000 supporting business continuity and women-led companies. Activities include matchmaking, participation in a Market Fast Track program, and specialized coaching for female entrepreneurs. The first cut-off date is March 25, 2024.
  • Deep Tech Incubators: €25,000 for early-stage startups to undertake essential pre-MVP innovation tasks. Benefits include matchmaking, participation in a Market Fast Track program, and access to investors. The first cut-off date is March 25, 2024.
  • Rebuild Ukraine: Grants up to €25,000 for innovative products/services targeting tech SMEs and scale-ups with TRL of 7 or higher. Support includes matchmaking, acceleration programs, and access to investors. The first cut-off date is March 25, 2024.
  • Deep Tech Scale-up and Acceleration: Offering up to €50,000 to scale prototypes and expand market reach. Non-financial services include access to investors, legal services, and specialized coaching. The first cut-off date is March 25, 2024.
