Digitalisation is finally coming for meal vouchers in Luxembourg with Up Luxembourg, Belgian fintech and hrtech pioneer Monizze’s brand name for their digital meal voucher service.

The advantages of digital meal vouchers have been discussed ad nauseam for years and appear to become a reality with Up Luxembourg. This has finally become possible due to the draft law presented on June 9 by the ministry of finance, proposing a legal framework for the digitization of payments.

“At Up Luxembourg, we’re delighted to see this bill take shape, as we’re already developing this new generation of fully digitalized Meal Vouchers and other benefits for the benefit of employees and employers alike. This new legal framework will fuel innovation and open up the market, bringing more services and benefits to employers, employees and merchants,” said Alicia Brun, Country Manager of Up Luxembourg.

Incorporated in May 2023, Up Luxembourg plans to launch its service soon, following in the footsteps of Monizze, a leader in the Belgian fintech and hrtech ecosystem. The newly incorporated Up Luxembourg plans to fully digitize meal vouchers, reducing administrative costs and increasing employee benefits via a single card and platform.

“Our ambition is to offer an ever more efficient, cost-effective, simple, secure, and innovative solution. At the heart of our solution, our R&D team is key, and we work to respond immediately to our customers and improve our solution daily,” explains Jean-Louis Van Houwe, CEO and founder of Monizze.
