VivaTech 2019: Strengthening The Luxembourg’s Presence

The Chamber of Commerce, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Luxinnovation and the House of Startups, with the support of the Luxembourg Embassy in Paris and the Business Club France-Luxembourg (BCFL), will organize for the second time a national pavilion during the 4th edition of the VivaTech exhibition, which will take place in Paris from 16 to 18 May 2019.

With Slush, which takes place in Finland, and Websummit in Lisbon, Vivatechnology is positioning itself as one of the leading events dedicated to innovation and at the global level. French President Emmanuel Macron hopes that the event will reach the CES level in Las Vegas and become the “global meeting place for those who are changing the world” by helping dynamic young entrepreneurs meet the leaders in their sector of activity in order to create together solutions that will change the business world and the society of tomorrow.

In 2018, Luxembourg was present for the first time while the show attracted more than 100,000 visitors, including 9,000 startups, 1900 investors and 1900 journalists from more than 125 countries. In view of the success, the initiative will be renewed in May 2019 with an expanded national pavilion of 40 m2.

Indeed, for this 2019 edition, in addition to serving as a meeting point for Luxembourg companies throughout the duration of the exhibition, the possibility will be given to a maximum of 9 startups to exhibit on the Luxembourg pavilion at a reduced rate (NB: the selection process for the selected startups will be communicated as soon as possible). In addition, Luxembourg companies of all sizes and in all sectors interested in visiting the exhibition will also be able to benefit from “visitor” entry tickets at a preferential rate as well as a negotiated rate for their stay at the hotel. Finally, a networking reception will be organised with the support of the BCFL and the Luxembourg Embassy in France. Practical details (ticket prices, pavilion, guided tour, etc.) will follow as soon as possible.

Luxembourg’s participation in the fair will also be relayed on social networks under the hashtag #LUatVIVATECH via the official accounts of Luxembourg Trade & Invest, the official platform for Luxembourg’s economic promotion, on Twitter, Linkedin and Facebook.

To present the exhibition, as well as the concept of the Luxembourg pavilion, an information session will be organised at the Chamber of Commerce in March (exact date to be defined). If you would like to attend this information session, please complete the online form.
