The Luxembourg School of Business (LSB) has opened the applications for the Weekend MBA Program beginning September 2019!
Since 2014, the Weekend MBA program is specifically designed to earn an MBA on the weekends while still working during the week. Classes take place two weekends per month for a period of two years, and are given by professors from top universities such as Duke or MIT.
The program focuses strongly on practice, rather than pure theory;
Each of the six modules start with a leadership class allowing students to nurture their own leadership styles.
As a premier, during the 2019 program, one of the leadership class shall be taught by the Luxembourgish Army during two days.
At the end of the two years program, the students work in teams on a “Consulting Project” rather than a thesis. They are given all information (financial data, business plan, …) on a real startup, selected by LSB, and they must come up with solutions to improve its business. This project is a win-win situation for the students as well as the participating startups.
Over the last years, lawyers, auditors, engineers have joined the program. However, LSB is eager to attract entrepreneurs to its program as the school recognizes the value that entrepreneurs can bring to the cohort, having real-life experience of running a startup.
LSB offers a scholarship for entrepreneurs that have already started their own company and are willing to gain relevant and practice-oriented knowledge and skills that shall help them lead their venture to success. The LSB Entrepreneur Scholarship covers up to 75% of the tuition (being a total of 30,000 euros).
To be awarded the LSB Entrepreneur Scholarship, candidates have to show how the MBA Program will help them individually and organizationally to develop their venture.
Candidates have to submit a business case detailing:
the current state of the venture and a development plan
the benefit of attending the LSB MBA Program for their company
an example of proven leadership
