Luxembourg regtech startup Governance.com has secured two big names for its board of directors to guide it through the scale-up process.
On Wednesday it announced the appointment of Robert Glaesener and George Valsamidis with immediate effect. The announcement follows the resignation of Arnold Spruit from the board.
Robert Glaesener is the CEO of the AI-driven social media listening company Talkwalker, a firm he founded in 2010 and which today counts some 450 employees.
Prior to Talkwalker, the entrepreneur founded Internaxx.com, the international online bank of TDBank in Luxembourg and served as its CEO from 2000 to 2010. George Valsamidis launched a series of startups before successfully founding ALTEC Group, an IT group which he helped scale up in Greece. More recently and with a background in IT infrastructure, the serial entrepreneur has coached and supported startup and scale-up companies in the IT and financial services industries.

Founded in 2011 by brothers Bert and Rob Boerman, Governance.com provides digital governance solutions enabling banks, depositories, management companies, fund administrators and other regulated companies to understand their data, automate their process and record their actions.
Governance was awarded “Luxembourg FinTech Startup of the Year” in 2016, it was listed for two consecutive year as one of the most innovative regtech companies in the world by FinTech Global and made the 50 hottest European Fintechs list.
