ChefPassport, a culinary experience provider, has partnered with Anne’s Kitchen to create Delights of Luxembourg, a team-building cooking adventure that immerses participants in the traditional cuisine and wine culture of Luxembourg.

The program includes a customized menu that highlights local food ingredients and brands, supporting the local economy. Anne Faber, a Luxembourg-based TV chef and food journalist, leads the program and provides a unique reinvention of Luxembourgish dishes. The event is held at the client’s location or one of their partner locations, ensuring seamless coordination.

The event includes a guided wine pairing component, featuring a selection of iconic Luxembourg wines led by a professional sommelier. The wine pairing enhances the team-building experience by fostering bonding while introducing teams to the rich culinary culture of Luxembourg.

ChefPassport has been offering virtual events for businesses globally since 2018, with clients such as Google, Amazon, Procter & Gamble, Vodafone, and Netflix. Recently, they expanded their services to include in-person and hybrid events for Luxembourg businesses.

Matteo Ressa, founder and CEO of ChefPassport, states that the goal of ChefPassport has always been to connect people through food experiences, fostering diversity and inclusion. The partnership with Anne Faber marks an important milestone as they continue to grow, offering in-person and hybrid events to meet the evolving needs of their diverse clientele.

The collaboration between ChefPassport and Anne’s Kitchen offers an incredible opportunity for businesses seeking team-building activities, networking events, or offsite gatherings. Participants will explore the rich culinary heritage of Luxembourg with Anne Faber and ChefPassport while supporting the local economy. The event includes a customized menu, guided wine pairing component, and seamless coordination at the client’s location or one of their partner locations.

We took the opportunity of this announcement to ask Matteo Ressa some questions.

How has the concept of ChefPassport evolved over time, especially after the pandemic?

ChefPassport has remained true to its vision, “Connecting people via food experiences,” while continuously adapting and expanding its offerings to cater to clients’ needs. Initially, we focused on providing private online cooking classes for individuals. However, as the pandemic unfolded, we recognized the need for virtual business events and team-building activities and introduced these new services. As the world now returns to normalcy, we are observing many companies that have integrated remote work permanently into their organizations and are exploring more options for hybrid and in-person events. Our commitment to innovation and adapting to market demands has been the driving force behind this evolution.

What is the demand like for live cooking sessions from businesses versus individuals on ChefPassport?

Apart from the skyrocketing demand for in-person/hybrid corporate cooking events, we have observed a growing interest in private group classes in Luxembourg, particularly cooking classes for kids. However, we have strategically decided to maintain our primary focus on corporate events at this time. This decision allows us to concentrate our efforts and resources on one area while ensuring that we continue to provide high-quality experiences for businesses. However, we are not excluding the possibility of re-opening the service to individuals in the upcoming future.

What are the expectations for technical and sales development of ChefPassport as a company in the near future?

ChefPassport is well-equipped with a fleet of 40 chefs and 10 top chef instructors (graduates from our internal Digital Chef Academy) to continue providing services in the virtual world. While our primary focus remains on digital services, we also recognize the importance of in-person events and plan to invest heavily in this area. We are committed to expanding into hybrid and in-person team events, starting with Luxembourg, and eventually extending to selected Spanish and Portuguese cities, where our initial research has shown promising responses. In addition, we are excited to pre-announce the development of a new, disruptive subscription service that will be launched later this year. Though we cannot share too many details at this point, we believe this innovative service will further strengthen ChefPassport’s position as a leading provider in the cook-tech industry for authentic culinary experiences in the digital and in-person event space.
