New ways of working require new solutions. Fabien Girerd, CEO and founder of Jooxter explains how their workspace management solution solves some of the problems hybrid working companies face.
Last year, you launched a tool which enabled companies to see which of their employees were teleworking and which were in the office. Why is this important? And how has it been received?
Managing a team with some of your employees on-site and others working remotely is often a nightmare. It requires strong organisational skills and the best tool to manage your teams and workplace. Jooxter enables you to collaborate efficiently by having clear visibility of your colleagues’ plans which is essential for productivity.
Jooxter is now used by over 140.000 users across 29 countries. Prior to Covid, most employees were reluctant to share their office location. Now, everyone wants to know who’s at the office and is no longer concerned with sharing this information. Jooxter makes it very easy to do this and makes it visible within their daily softwares, such as Microsoft Calendar.
Last but not least, with the energy cost increase, it becomes critical to measure and predict the occupancy at the office in order to make informed decisions to reduce carbon footprint.
One of your solutions aims to help companies optimize their office spaces. How does it work?
When our clients decide to use Jooxter, they not only have access to a hybrid work solution but also to all the data required to make decisions related to office spaces. By using Jooxter, some companies realize they can drastically reduce their office spaces.
For example, one of our latest clients, Ecocert, was able to reduce their office spaces by 30% by having 0,7 offices per person. This allows them to not only reduce their real estate expenses but also to reduce their carbon footprint.
Which size companies are most in need of your solution?
Our solution best suits companies with 250 and more employees over multiple floors or buildings. Some of our key clients are Deloitte, Le Crédit Agricole and Alter Domus. These companies tend to get the most out of Jooxter in terms of return on investment.
“There will also be a lot of opportunities in the years to come for companies to optimize their carbon footprint by reducing their office spaces.”

How has the Luxembourg market reacted to Jooxter’s solutions?
We have had big success while working with companies in Luxembourg: real estate is pretty expensive in Luxembourg so companies want to optimize the use of office spaces. At the same time, hybrid work is becoming the new standard for all and new tax rules enable people to work from home more often. So we’re glad we can help companies save money.
Hybrid office culture appears to be here to stay. What have you learnt about companies’ struggles to adapt to it in the past two years?
The Covid-19 crisis has completely changed our way of working. After the pandemic, every company had different strategies concerning their working organization. Some companies would commit to being 100% remote, but would sometimes realize their working atmosphere, as well as their collective productivity, was impacted. Other companies were completely against remote work but then realized their employees didn’t want such working conditions.
What we can learn from this situation is that our working environment will never be the same. Companies are shifting to hybrid work and trying to find the most adapted solution for them.
How do you predict hybrid work culture to evolve in the coming years?
Hybrid work will definitely become the new standard for companies. We can already see that many large tech companies such as Apple or Tesla have strong hybrid work policies implemented. According to Spiceworks, 92% of employees have the choice to work remotely.
There will also be a lot of opportunities in the years to come for companies to optimize their carbon footprint by reducing their office spaces. If your company wants to stay competitive and attract the best talents, hybrid work is a must.
What are Jooxter’s goals for the remainder of the year?
