The Luxembourg-based data-driven mobility analytics company just announced that next to appointing Andrés Petrillo as the new CEO, it would also shift its focus increasingly on mobility data analytics solutions.
As automotive groups are increasingly offering data analysis, this change is coming at an important moment for the company. While it will continue to offer its white-labelled insurance telematics platform and fleet optimisation API, the university spinoff wants to make OEM-connected car data the centrepiece of its offer.
Keen to drive the company to the next level, the board has also decided to appoint a new CEO. As of 1 March this year, Andrés Petrillo will replace German Castignani, co-founder of the company, as CEO.
After three years of being CEO and helping grow the company, German will step down and continue to support the firm as advisor. He will also remain a shareholder of the company.

The board thanks German for his outstanding engagement in leading the company successfully during the past three years as a CEO. German will continue to support the company’s growth as an advisor to Motion-S and will remain a shareholder of the company.

Previously responsible for Expansion Programs Europe at Amazon, Luxembourg, Andrés Petrillo, has also held various executive positions at Aracar Group and Acysys, always with an entrepreneurial focus. He also brings startup experience from Mindbot, an IT technology company.
