The Sacred Heart University Luxembourg and the blockchain non-profit organization will provide courses on big data, distributed ledger and crypto-currencies, starting next Spring.

Sacred Heart University Luxembourg (SHULU) and Infrachain, a non-profit organization specialized in blockchain, joined forces to provide course sessions on blockchain.
“The agreement will inform the development of SHULU’s “Blockchain, Big Data and Cryptocurrencies” course, consisting of 12 evening sessions, which will begin in May,” both partners said in a press release. “The university’s blockchain classes will provide Luxembourg’s business students with a hands-on introduction to blockchain, distributed ledger and crypto-currencies”.
Infrachain will promote the course with its members and assist with the recruitment of industry experts to serve as trainers and speakers in the program, together with the SHULU Professors.
“We are excited to support the development of blockchain education in Luxembourg through this partnership. We aim to develop this further with our partners within the Luxembourg Blockchain Lab” commented Fabrice Croiseaux, chairman of Infrachain.
Ensuring international competitive standards
“The aim of the venture is to ensure an international competitive standard for the industry’s actors within Luxembourg,” added Antoine Rech, SHULU’s Head of Campus. “We are proud to continue developing its partnerships with local stakeholders and bridging it to much-needed industries.”
The university’s move follows its strategic change set up in November last year, including a new governance, new MBA programs and certificates dedicated to entrepreneurs and startup founders.
Established in Luxembourg thirty years ago and located in the Chamber of Commerce of Luxembourg, Kirchberg, Sacred Heart University, Luxembourg (SHULU) is a branch of the Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT).
SHULU offers graduate certificates in digital management, leadership, private equity and an MBA combined with an internship.
Launched in May 2017, Infrachain is a Luxembourg based asbl with the aim of creating an on-top governance framework allowing blockchain applications to become operational in the current regulatory environment.
