On October 14, the members of the board of directors of Luxembourg’s network for inclusive finance elected Tom Pfeiffer as its new president.  The independent director and founder of Triple Line Advisory succeeds Michel Maquil, who had been president of the network since 2014.

After 8 years at the helm, Michel Maquil, former chairman of the management committee and the CEO of the LuxSE from 2001 to 2012, decided to step down.

During his time as president of the network, Michel Maquil helped InFiNe “find its place in the Luxembourg ecosystem by bringing together very different actors,” said the press release. These included actors such as ADA, LuxDev but also the European Investment Bank and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

Throughout his professional career as an auditor and financial advisor, Tom Pfeiffer has had the opportunity to participate in evaluations and audits of development aid projects or microfinance programs. Furthermore, between 2016 and 2019, he served as CSR and sustainability leader at Deloitte Luxembourg.

“Becoming Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg A.s.b.l.  is a real honour, which obliges me. Convinced that financial inclusion is essential to improve the lives of people who still face barriers to accessing finance, I look forward to enhancing the collective know-how in responsible and inclusive finance in Luxembourg, together with all the members of the Board of Directors, said Tom Pfeiffer, New President of InFiNe.lu.

Today, the InFiNe network gathers 36 members, key actors from the public, private sectors and the Luxembourg civil society, highlighting the solid competencies and the high level of expertise of this ecosystem fostering the deployment of inclusive finance worldwide.
